Oops. I burnt the seat!
I had a clip-on lamp that was face down on the driver's seat. As I switched on the mains to the power tools I was using, I also switched on the lamp. "Crikey," thought I, "this sanding's kicking up some nasty pongs". Then I look up and see smoke rising from the chair next to me and promptly go fetch water!
